Winter in Melbourne #2 | The Great Ocean Road

Wednesday, December 04, 2013

So the day after we came back from Sydney, sister Jo planned to go a road trip on Great Ocean Road, i refused at the first place as i thought it has nothing except for boring STONE, SEA and CLIFFS. I know they're way beyond normal stone, they're pretty much historical places and will be gone for the coming 10 to 20 years. But the travel duration takes approximately a four to five hour drive along the Great Ocean Road. Dahhhh it's killing, OMG! I don't want to waste half of my day in a bus ride, a total waste of my trip(Before i thought i would stayed longer. Lol)

But i think my sister is an expect in debating, she nagged/explained/talked/convinced in many ways since we were in Sydney just to ask me to go with her. Okay i surrendered. Lol. Not to mention the part that she's paying for my trip, i just jumped abroad to my free day tour.

Flashed back those scenery at The Great Ocean Road, i'm glad that i made it to the trip at the end. The spectacular Great Ocean Road could be one of the nicest natural spot. It is also known as world’s most beautiful and naturally maintained secrets!

The Great Ocean Road is an Australian National Heritage listed 243 kilometres stretch of road along the south-eastern coast of Australia between the Victorian cities of Torquay and Allansford. Experience and enjoy the breathtaking coastline. The 1 day Great Ocean Road tour is one of Melbourne’s most popular tours. On the spectacular Great Ocean Road Tour experience a breathtaking coastline with pristine beaches, rainforests and charming seaside towns and of course the 12 Apostles.

After our first few sight seeing at the beaches, the tour stopped by at Port Campbell where 12 Apostles Helicopters located at. With the helicopter ride, we were able to experience a breathtaking flight over the most beautiful scenery in Australia. Perhaps a journey over the 12 Apostles, a flight to the Bay of Islands via London Bridge, or take in the beauty of the entire Shipwreck Coast all the way to Australia's oldest lighthouse at Cape Otway. 12 Apostles Helicopters offers the highest level of safety and service to make this a day you will never forget.

Super excited face!! Going on my first helicopter ride in life!!!!

We also took a short walk to Twelve Apostles Marine National Park after our helicopter ride.

Finally arrived at the popular photo taking session spot where everyone is able to look at most of the apostles.
12 APOSTLES is the main highlight of The Great Ocean Road. Witness the rugged splendour of the famous 12 Apostles, magnificent rock stacks that rise up majestically from the Southern Ocean on Victoria's dramatic coastline. Created by constant erosion of the limestone cliffs of the mainland beginning 10-20 million years ago, the stormy Southern Ocean and blasting winds gradually eroded the softer limestone, forming caves in the cliffs.

P/s: Pardon all the pictures with my shades on, Conjunctivitis attacked! FML!
