Shades on, Zero Make up under ze Hot weather!

Colorful boat as our 'ride'

The Damnoen Saduak Floating Market is located at Damnoen Saduak District, Ratchaburi Province. It is a ‘must-see’ destination, and is one of the most popular day trips from Bangkok.

Sister immediately got herself a Beach Cap, very smart of her!

It is a very attractive place for tourists to see the old style and traditional way of selling and buying fruits, vegetables, etc., from small boats. Every morning, hundreds of boats crowd the market area. Most of them are paddled by women with picturesque straw hats. Visitors can find everything from vegetables and fruits to freshly-cooked noodle and souvenirs at this lively market. Day in and day out from about 8 a.m. to about 11 a.m. the Floating Market is routinely crowded with hundreds of vendors and purchasers floating in their small rowing boats selling and buying or exchanging their goods. What they purchase are particularly food, fruit and vegetable which mostly brought from their own orchards. They usually travel on their small rowing boats.

Today the long-tailed boats pushing by engine become very popular. People tend to use them instead. Anyhow because of the shortage of fuel today long-tailed boats are quite unavailable compared to a few years ago. Visitors will also see traditional Thai houses, the way they live and travel by boats, and please try riding on a small boat to experience the floating market and to see more. This is a worthwhile trip.

Weird smile while noming on something! Hehehehe

One of my favorite Jelly shoes(check the rest out here), Striking pink my love! <3

Havoc boat crowd by all the small rowing boats with fruits and food

After our hectic morning at the floating market, we thought of heading back to City. But god who knows the tour guide simply include us into their plan without notifying us and brought us to Elephant Village which is not under our schedule. (Fyi, The elephant village is just 10 minutes drive from the floating market, located somewhere rural, way far from city. Otherwise we might consider to get a damn cab and go back by ourself.) Well, we wouldn't mind giving a ride actually but the freaking entrance fee for the Elephant ride is 900Baht per person. It's even more expensive than our van's fee. WTH right?! Sister was so pissed and fought back with the tour guide. The irresponsible tour guide then asked us to wait in the van if we are not willing to take the ride. Hello waiting for one hour while doing nothing. DAMN!! Freaking con tour ever! But what to do, die die have to stick back to the plan as we got no turning back and take a ride since we were already there!
So hey peeps, if you happen to go to Bangkok and yet you want to visit Floating market, do make sure if you got the right local tour, do ask them for more details. Having a mistaken like this upon travelling can quite frustrated at times! It's not the money that matters, we consumer/tourist deserve to get what kind of services we wanted nor unwanted! Don't ever fall into their trap and be their next victim!

I would say Elephant-CON-Village

Us pretend to be a happy tourist!
