This is the second time since 2011 that JOHNNIE WALKER® will be holding the Black Circuit Lounge in Penang and the British theme also fits perfectly with the hype and excitement generated over the 2012 London Olympics. This highly anticipated Black Circuit Lounge – Great Britain will be held at the Penang Turf Club, which is the most historic racecourse in the country, having been built by the British in 1864. The VIP race party will feature a number of British-skewed highlights, from headline British DJ Benji Boko rocking the night with a British-inspired set list, to iconic and instantly recognisable British decor and even tea-inspired cocktails to debut at the returning Black Flavour Lab mixology bar.

Penang – The JOHNNIE WALKER® Black Circuit Lounge VIP race party will make a welcome return to Penang on 4 August, this time with a distinctly British edge. And if that doesn’t get your motor jump-started, the hottest race party in Malaysia will also welcome the presence of motorsports royalty with two-time Formula 1™ World Champion and JOHNNIE WALKER® Responsible Drinking Ambassador Mika Häkkinen. In keeping with the British theme, the JOHNNIE WALKER® Black Circuit Lounge will feature rising star and headliner Benji Boko from the UK to raise the temperature at the party with a decidedly British set list. Benji has been getting some excellent recommendations from industry luminaries like Rob Da Bank, DJ Yoda, Zane Lowe and Nightmares On Wax amongst others. The inimitable Benji is instantly recognizable from his huge Afro and his Purple Monkey alter-ego, and has shared the big stage with artists like Calvin Harris, Justice, Deadmau5, Fat Freddy’s Drop, Annie Mac and Plump Djs at huge events like Bestival, Glastonbury, Rockness, V Festival and at iconic locations like Ibiza. His debut artist album, “Beats, Treats and Everything Unique”, was released last year and features heavyweights Maxi Jazz from Faithless and Ricky Rankin from Roots Manuva.
