Girlie Afternoon tea @ Lounge On the Park

Thursday, April 26, 2012

The wonderful thing is when you can catch up with your girlie, having afternoon tea while all of you can play with some doll up and cam whoring session. Indeed a perfect afternoon for a weekend kick.

Just before we headed to KLCC for a walk, we had our afternoon tea at Lounge On the Park, located in Mandarin Oriental hotel. I love all the bars and restaurants in this hotel, for instance Sultan Lounge, where all my Penang friends preferably place to chill in KL instead of those crowded, & Mandarin Grill, my first dinner with le boyf (Click here for entries on Mandarin Grill). Have been observing this huge lobby lounge every time i walked pass the hotel lobby, such a nice place chill with warm ambience and relaxing music. And i told myself next stop will be Mosaic that locates next to Lounge On the Park. Check list to go!

So, i asked my sister and Candice to join me since not much guys into sweet stuff like how we girls usually do, including le boyf. I guess it could be one perfect time for me to catch up with Candice. She's one of me and my sister's best friends originally from Penang before she moved to KL.

Instead of Modern Victorian Style of interior that commonly seen in every hotel, they collaborate part by part of the lounge interior with Modern Chinese from the chandelier, wall, ceiling to the floor carpet. They do sell Chinese Tea at the middle of lounge in traditional Chinese Pot too. In fact, it has be clearly shown from the name of the hotel literally, Mandarin Oriental. Ooops, I'm so blur at times. :/

The afternoon tea only serves from 2pm to 6pm, Thank god i manage to get our seat reserved a day before.

Oh girls, oh girls nowadays cannot live without their iPhone & Bb. tskkkkk

Our indoor seat by the park ; next to the walk that connecting KLCC to the hotel

Lychee Green tea
It was Candice's recommendation on trying something new. I like how it tastes so smooth and sweet for green tea that comes with a fruity base. I guess from now on, this would be my second option after my favorite Earl Grey.

Tiramisu in Glass & Jumbo Love Macaroon

Our pick of the day ; The Royal English Afternoon Tea that served in a modern three tier.
It looks like a Metal Ferris Wheel to me, too bad it doesn't move. Lol. LIKED!

Served with varieties of Jams

Cakes, Macaroons, Scones, Cream Brûlée, Pastries & Sandwiches..

Additional order to fill our stomach ; Caesar Salad

I reckon this is one of the best afternoon tea you can hardly find it Malaysia, but still i prefer the one i had in York that serves the best Earl Grey tea ever. Too bad i couldn't make it for another afternoon tea in London and tried on the best Lauduree macaroons, such a waste.

Anyway do you like my afternoon tea?

I simply love it because it is the perfect bonding with people you have not met and catch up a little with laughters. With all the sweet indulgent and the combination of tea, every bit of the conversation seems to flow into perfect stream of story sharing.

Will update more about my happening Afternoon Tea back in Penang and York, UK. It was happened quite some time though, if only you don't mind with my overdue post. Till then. x
